While the New York Fashion Week is going on, I wanted to take some inspiration from the upcoming fall fashion and mix it up with some South Asian spice! You do not want to miss out on what's in store for South Asian fashion this season. It's going to be non-stop decadence and utter brilliance!

This gorgeous piece by Manish Malhotra is from his "Empress Story" collection and is fitting for someone who loves the glitz and the glamour! This deep green lengha has been hand stitched with fine and delicate icy grey beads, and perfectly paired with a crop top and a stunning chandelier necklace.

A few months ago I was exploring Pacific Mall in Toronto with my sisters, and we came across these beautiful Kimono dresses. Once we set our eyes upon these gorgeous pieces we decided to add a bit of South Asian flare to the outfits! We had our tailor shorten the dress a couple of inches and had black salwar pants stitched to contrast the dress. Finally, we added a scarf to the outfit and we had a custom South Asian Kimono styled outfit! We used deeper purples and velvet fabric to create a beautiful fall piece.

Below is an example of the Kimono dress outfit with a South Asian twist by Manish Malhotra. His piece has gorgeous hand stitched details and set upon a dark forest green Kimono dress.

Are you looking for a show stopper? Well look no further, because have I got a super sultry look for you! Decadent deep "oxblood" red georgette fabric, transformed into an A-Line lengha paired with a one shoulder blouse, can we say "va va voom?!" Or how about adding a little more of a pop and paring this lengha with that crop top we saw in the first image? The options are endless!

Keep on styling ladies. I can't wait to see your looks this fall season!

Kettikari
I'm Bruno, and I'm a kettikaran. Kettikaran is a Tamil masculine word used to describe a male who is successful at achieving something great; in other words, a winner (kettikari for females). For the last few months, this is what a few elders within the Sri Lankan-Tamil community have been telling me - that I’m a winner. No, I didn’t receive a scholarship to school; I didn’t score the winning goal to help my team win the league trophy; I didn’t discover a medical breakthrough. So, what did I do to be bathed with such a commemorative label? Well, I fathered a son as my first child.
