TORONTO, Ontario – March 6, 2020 – Untouchable Sound Crew (USC) synonymous with the hottest events in the Canadian Tamil community for nearly two decades has announced earlier today of its acquisition by Infinite Entertainment.  USC first founded by Sri Lankeswaran in 2001 started from humble beginnings, his parent’s basement. The early days witnessed USC performing at major Tamil student union events throughout Ontario before scaling up to major trade shows, large community gatherings, corporate affairs and international events spanning North America, Europe and Asia.  PK Sithamparanathan joined the team in 2005 as Lead DJ, growing to become Co-Founder and CEO. PK spearheaded scaling the team, the brand and the business to its current home at 118 Production Drive in Toronto, Ontario. The new facility enabled the company’s founders to quickly expand, warehouse A/V equipment and enhance their core value of giving back to the community they loved. The key team behind USC's success was Rajiev Langa (AV & Operations), Mayu Shankadev & Kirose Siva (DJ/Sales & Marketing), Thiva Mahen & Suji Siva (AV & Operations).

Infinite Entertainment jointly owned by Sashigan Yogalingam and Sajayshsan Jeyanathan acquired USC to enhance their dominance in the event planning space.  Both met at Ryerson University in 2013 and worked closely as Executives of the campus’ Tamil Student Association. They realized their knack for event planning and were able to quickly use their business acumen to identify gaps for new opportunities.  In 2016 they started Infinite Photobooth where they provided a self-serve photo booth for corporate and private events. Their popularity in the event space enabled them to later expand to event management and the eventual creation of Infinite Entertainment.  Their first major success in the event space was hosting an event for a European client in Switzerland. The Infinite Entertainment brand was quickly identified with international artist management for producing high-calibre memorable events in Toronto and internationally.

“We started USC as we saw the need for professionalism in the Canadian Thamil Music scene. I would go to events that were run by mainstream companies and compare them to those of the Thamil community and sadly we were lacking. It wasn’t that we didn’t have the talent, or the know-how or the ability - it was simply because our culture of academia didn’t allow our diaspora parents to see the musical talents of their children as an asset outside of Sangeetham or Bharatha Naatiyam. This was a huge problem for artists who wanted to get out there and perform. Legitimizing our musical talents through business and reaping the financial rewards allowed us to create a new era - an era where creatives from our community were able to stand proud and get paid accordingly for their talents and services. None of this would have been possible without the blood, sweat, and tears of our core team - Rajiev, PK, Mayu, Kirose, Thiva, Suji and the many more.” remarked Founder and Director of Operations, Sri Lankeswaran.

“USC was always a respected and admired brand for as long as I can remember.  Seeing its journey and knowing we can carry on the legacy is an honour. I am excited to see how we can infuse a new vibe and continue to scale this venture to new heights,” remarked Sashigan Yogalingam, President of Infinite Entertainment.
