TORONTO, ON– Bringing together a vibrant and eclectic mix of musical genres, Santhosh Narayanan will anchor an evening of unforgettable entertainment that will leave audiences with extraordinary memories of performances and capture imaginations. Drawing from Santhosh’s own celebrated decade long journey from being a DJ, a creator of memorable gaana, melodies, kuthu, pop and more,Sounds of the South will showcase musicians and performers who are celebrated and recognized for their own excellence.

Some of the artists who will join Santhosh on stage are as follows:
● DHEE, an Australian-Tamil singer known for her distinctive voice that redefines expectations and traditions, is making Sounds of the South her first official tour.
● SHAN VINCENT DE PAUL, Canada’s very own award winning Canadian-Tamil rapper and director who was Juno nominated in 2021 for the video of “Neeye Oli”. His music makes the audience breathless as he flies through powerful, intentional lyrics.
● NAVZ-47, yet another Canadian-Tamil Juno nominated composer and singer with a feisty,unique and fearless talent. Her music is assured to make you think while you dance.
● ALL MIXED UP, a Canadian hip-hop duo from Toronto, composed of Question416 and Geeth, a rapper that brings creative and intricate word play and a singer that adds melody with a wide range of singing styles, respectively.
 
 
In addition to this great lineup, audiences can look forward to performances from local creatives as part of the show flow, which include parai performance by Ahkenam Arts as well as feel-good, groovy horn music by the Heavyweights Brass Band.
 
This unique event, presented by maajja, is designed to take the audiences on a journey of sight, sound and memories currently not found in the Canadian mainstream music culture. It is a showcase of authentic music as experienced in the South Asian community as presented by the community itself.
