About me

Hi! My name is Shaaranki and I am a journalism student in Toronto, Ontario. In my free time, I love to read, write, listen to music, and sing! I have taken Carnatic music lessons since the age of three and love listening to Tamil songs. When I am not writing stories or completing assignments for school, I like to write for publications, create video content, and make Tamil vocal covers for my Instagram or TikTok pages! Another thing I like to do is go on long walks with my dog, June! As an aspiring journalist from the Tamil community, I hope to share the stories of Tamils across Canada. From a young age, I was exposed to various aspects of my Tamil culture (from the rich foods to the vibrant festivities) so I hope to share some relatable stories with you all :)
