Singaporean entrepreneur Daisy Morgan has teamed up with iconic Tollywood actress Nayanthara and director Vignesh Shivan to co-found 9Skin, a skincare line promoting self-love, beauty, and radiant skin.
9Skin was born out of the friendship and shared vision of Daisy Morgan, Nayanthara, and Vignesh Shivan to create a skincare line specifically designed for acne-prone skin. Through discussions, they identified the need for an effective, long-lasting solution. With this understanding, they collectively envisioned a sustainable remedy for individuals struggling with acne issues. Subsequently, they combined their diverse skills to develop a comprehensive solution for daily acne maintenance.
The 9Skin range comprises five products: Skintillate - Booster oil; Eternelle - Anti-aging serum; Illuminate - Glow serum; Rejuvenate - Night cream; and Revive - Day cream. 9Skin’s maintenance range promotes glowing skin by addressing acne skin concerns such as dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and texture issues. This line of products utilizes rare natural ingredients like Gotu Kola, Ginkgo Biloba, and Kakadu Plum – curated with nanotechnology that penetrates the skin barrier for optimal effectiveness, offering a luxurious skincare experience.
I connected with Daisy Morgan, a female entrepreneur from Singapore. Daisy has an extreme passion for skincare, based on her personal experiences overcoming acne. When Daisy came to India, she became a student under Shahnaz Husain, an Indian businesswoman known for her international acclaim for pioneering the Herbal beauty care movement and taking the Indian herbal heritage of Ayurveda worldwide. This experience inspired Daisy to start a skincare line, thus beginning her journey to study skincare formulas. While Daisy was diversifying her skincare business, she operated nightclubs simultaneously to keep her skincare business frugal.
I asked Daisy what she sees for the future of 9Skin.
Daisy said that she sees 9Skin expanding its skincare line to provide more innovative and targeted solutions that address skin concerns like acne, texture, and hyper-pigmentation while promoting inner beauty.
I also asked Daisy, "What’s one piece of advice you'll give to female entrepreneurs?"
She said, “If you don’t start, you will never know. If you don’t fail, you won’t know the meaning of success. Believe in yourself and wear your confidence.” Daisy explains that through her personal experiences, her friends and children gave her the strength and grounding to keep going.
