I am Middlefield high school Amnesty International adviser and we would like to include a Tamil Remembrance Day I have been teaching high school law here at MCI for 21 years, and have taught the UofT/OISE Law ABQ for the past 11 years.
My bio:
Jamie Glass has been teaching Law at Middlefield Collegiate Institute (York Region District School Board) for the past 12 years. Since 1999 Jamie has been the school's Mock Trial coach. In that time, he has led his team to the 'Final Four' in the Ontario Bar Association's Annual High School Competition in 2002, 2003, 2006, 2007 and 2018. Jamie is also founder of the Ontario Law Teacher's Assistance Network (OLTAN), a network of Law teachers across Ontario who share lessons, ideas, and teaching tools (precursor to OJEN).
Prior to beginning his teaching career, Jamie received a Bachelor of Arts Combined Honours Degree in “Law & Society” and “Mass Communication” from Carleton University and Bachelor of Law Juris Doctor Degree from the University of British Columbia. Jamie decided not to practise law and instead attended McGill University where he received a Bachelor of Education Degree.
In 2009, Jamie co-authored a new grade 11 law textbook entitled, All About Law, published by Nelson.
From 2010 to 2014, he was one of the law teachers consulted by the Ministry of Education for their rewrite of the 2015 Law expectations.
