The competition was held in the Dominican Republic with almost 40 different countries participating. Abissheka was crowned Miss Teen Canada in 2013 which led her to compete in this particular competition. She is an accomplished Barathanatyam dancer, violin player, singer and athlete. She had the following to say when asked about what drives her ambitions:

"My role model would be my dad. He has always taught me to dream big and achieve them and make every day count. If it wasn't for my dad, mom and my two sisters Aisswareeyah and Aishdaluxmy I know I would not be where I am today. My message, do whatever it takes to achieve your dreams, because it's your life and at the end of the day you want to be happy!"

Congrats on your win Abissheka!
