In a powerful show of community support, over a thousand Tamil professionals and community leaders gathered on April 19, 2025, at the Scarborough Convention Centre for Legacy & Luminescence – A Tamil Soirée, a dazzling alumni gala held in support of the Tamil Community Centre.

Dubbed the most anticipated Tamil alumni event of the year, the evening was filled with heartfelt reunions, vibrant cultural showcases, and inspiring moments that paid tribute to the legacy of Tamil-Canadian experiences—from university campus memories to ongoing community impact.
But beyond the celebration, the night marked a powerful commitment to the future: over $1 million in pledges were raised toward the construction of the Tamil Community Centre in Toronto. The centre will serve as a landmark institution for cultural programming, youth initiatives, and services tailored to the needs of the Tamil diaspora in Canada.
Attendees relived their student days with laughter, nostalgia, and camaraderie, all while investing in a shared vision for generations to come.
