I am a grade 11 French Immersion student; I fluently speak 3 languages English, French and Tamil.
At the age of 13, I obtained my first degree black belt in Taekwondo. I have been learning Thamil Carnatic Music for 11 years.
Currently I attend the Youth Leadership Program by the Centre for Leadership and Innovation (CFLI) and will be graduating in December of 2019. I have been selected as the Star Speaker at Milestone events amongst my class at numerous occasions and have won many times.
During my spare time I have co-facilitated other CFLI students and tutor French as well.
In November 2018, I have been selected as Durham Youth Councillor for Township of Uxbridge-Brock-Scugog. Where I will be representing the youth of the Durham Region.
Recently I took on a challenge of MC’ing the Thamil Thai Pongal event hosted by the Stouffville Tamil Multicultural Association in Tamil, this was a challenge but I enjoyed it very much. This was a great opportunity to connect with my roots and publicly speak tamil front of many Tamil Canadian within our community. And happy to report I received excellent feedback from the community.
My hobby is reading and playing scrabble with my family.
