The Comedy Fraternity or “ComFrat” as it’s called are 5 guys with one ambition: HUMOUR. The group has its roots from 2006 when Anujen Vijayrahaven and Prav Mahendrarajah took to the stage to entertain University audiences in their first year at Uni. Their observational humour and comical creativity captured the hearts of diverse audiences. They were shortly joined by Thiluxan Gnanasegaram who was an excellent fit to the team. In 2012, young talent was added to the group in the shape of Sujan Sivasubramaniyam and Ruban Nathan; followed by ComFrat operations manager Akee Jeganathapillai. Together, they established a new comedy movement – The Comedy Fraternity.

ComFrat, to date have conquered the university scene in London hosting shows and performing in live comedy sketches in prestigious venues across London, such as The Savoy Theatre, London Palladium and IndigO2. The future has a focus on conquering the digital world in the form of web based sketches, currently in the making are “Webisodes” to keep everyone laughing out loud!

‘The SaMachi Veedu’ is ComFrat’s second video which was aired at Imperial University’s annual show Mega Maalai hosted by ComFrat’s Thiluxan and Sujan. It features on screen: Mr S. Mahendrarajah (Dad), Anujen Vijayrahaven (Boy having the ceremony), Prash Mahendrarajah (Camera man), Prav Mahendrarajah (light man), Thiluxan Gnanasegaram, Ruban Nathan (extras for whisky blessing scene). Editing by Akee Jeganathapillai. Written and Directed by The Comedy Fraternity.

Prav, Anujen, Thiluxan, Ruban, Sujan and Akee would like to take this opportunity to extend their thanks to everyone who has supported them through their individual journeys and to keep supporting them as The Comedy Fraternity.

When asked to comment they say:

“We would like to highlight we are available for weddings, bah mitzvahs and gas station opening ceremonies, saamathia and sa-machi veedus ….and remember Rock The C.”
