More often than not, pop music from South India seems to come from Kollywood and it can be rare to hear anything out of the independent music scene.

Composer Josh Vivian and his friend Varun Parandhaman, a pop and RnB vocalist wanted to turn the status quo on its head with "Namma Ooru Boy Band".
