The remake of the Hindi super hit comedy Three Idiots which starred Aamir Khan. Directed by Shanker (Sivaji, Enthiran) and has a star studded cast which includes Vijay, who will take a much needed break from his usual type cast roles.

Hara (Animated)
Cast: Voices of Rajinikanth, Vijayalakshmi, Rahul Dev
Music by A.R Rahman
Direction: Soundarya Rajinikanth, K. S. Ravikumar
Without a doubt the most anticipated animated movie in Tamil film history, starring superstar Rajnikanth and directed by his daughter, Soundarya. Previously titled Sultan the Warrior, the movie has been in the works for years, the creators of the movie originally planned to release it in 2008.

Irandam Ulagam
Cast: Dhanush, Richa Gangopadhyay
Music: G. V. Prakash Kumar
Direction: Selvaraghavan
This one promises to be a huge suspense, more so for who might end up acting in it and composing the music than the story. Both leading stars were replaced as well as the music director since the filming started. Selvaraghavan, who last made the action adventure/fantasy Ayirathil Oruvan, directs this romantic drama.

7aam Arivu
Cast: Suriya, Shruthi Haasan
Music: Harris Jayaraj
Direction: Murugadoss
Director Murugadoss re-unites with Suriya after the two earlier teamed up for the hugely successful movie Ghajini. This one is said to be a science fiction thriller with Suriya playing dual roles.
