Ripped. Shredded. Built. Three Words that elicit an image such as the one below.

We all grew up seeing these ideal body types. We all want it, but when was the last time you saw a Tamil guy that looked just as ripped, shredded and built as that guy? I have always wanted that body, and I have always told myself that I will get that body. Yet, when growing up I always heard that Tamil people just didn't have the genes to be able to get that body.

Well? After many ins and outs of gyms throughout high school and briefly through University, I gave up and put my dream on hold. I graduated, got married, had a baby, and stopped watching my weight. All that changed on new year's day when my brother introduced me to a program that consisted of a meal plan, training schedule and supplement guide. I threw away the idea of "bad genes" and I believed.

I believed in my program. I believed in what I did each day at the gym. I believed in what I ate. And I believed in myself.

I realized my past failures were due to a serious lack of knowledge. In our dog eat dog world, if you know something like a training tip that can improve muscle gains, you probably would not want everyone to know for fear that everyone will get as big as you...or worse, even bigger. So I faced a lot of challenges trying to find out which body parts to train at what time, what my diet should consist of, what supplements to take, and so forth. I had someone tell me I was doing an exercise wrong, and when I had asked what the proper form should be, he told me he wasn't my personal trainer. Knowledge is gold. There really isn't any point in wasting your time and monthly fees going to a gym without having a plan.

So here on TamilCulture's Health section, I will begin posting weekly tips to inspire other Tamils who are looking for 1 of 3 things: to build muscle, lose fat, or get shredded.

I will be posting nutrition plans, including where I go shopping to get my food and recipes that I use myself. Furthermore, I will be posting training guides when at the gym for those looking to build muscle or get shredded. And for those that have the will and determination, I have a guaranteed fat loss program that costs you nothing.

As for me, since starting my transformation on January 4th, 2012 I have achieved the following results in less than 3 months.
