Velvet is such a rich material itself and when working with it, coloured velvet especially, wearing a crisp white dress shirt (also a 2013 fall/winter trend) paired with a simple tie or bow tie keeps your outfit clean and classy. Most importantly the outfit in general won't take away from the main attraction, you!

Accessories: How about an understated watch and a handsome pair of pearl and onyx cuffs.

Shoes: Try these on for size! Ermenegildo Zenga Laced Brogues. Damn, now those are some shoes.

Shoes: We couldn't leave out the sparkles, after all it is new years! So, to add in some dazzle we paired this dress with these fun yet elegant strappy pumps from Aldo. Strap pumps are on trend and it brings a little flare to the already bold colour!

Hair: Here is what will add the finishing touch to our classy outfit; a 40's inspired full on glamor hairstyle.
